What type of market is this?
LA Craft Experience showcases designers, artists and crafters throughout Los Angeles. Expect to meet and shop from vendors selling screen prints, jewelry, art, handmade soaps and candles, apparel, letterpress stationery, unique gifts, home décor, children’s gifts and accessories and many more! LACE is not a flea market or swap meet. All vendors are juried in based on the quality and uniqueness of their goods.
When and where will LA Craft Experience (LACE) be held?
The next LACE market will be held during Chinatown Summer Nights on Sept. 10th, 2011 from 5 p.m. to midnight in Chinatown. There are no recurring dates for LACE markets–the markets normally occur alongside other events in Chinatown.
How many vendors will there be and how large are the crowds?
Each market has between 40-60 vendors. The crowds fluctuate month to month but are heaviest in the spring and summer months and also during the LACE holiday market in December. We expect a very large crowd during the 72nd Annual Moon Festival. Chinatown is a historic area of downtown Los Angeles and is frequented often by tourists and Angelenos alike.
How much does it cost to attend? What about to be a vendor?
Admission to LA Craft Experience and events in Chinatown are FREE and open to all ages. Please click here for more information on being a LACE Vendor.
What about parking?
There is valet service, street parking, and plenty of designated event parking close to Chinatown’s Central Plaza. A free bike valet is usually available at LACE events.
